You would think growing up in the same neighborhood on the Northwest side of Chicago, attending the same grade school and surrounded by talented musicians that the current members of August Son would have formed a rock and roll band sooner. Although a few of the band members did play in bands together during their college days, combining cover songs with original music at various venues around Chicago and the Midwest, the sound and the band personnel never really felt right.

It wasn’t until recently that Sean O’Malley, the band’s lead singer/songwriter, began searching for a sound and a group of band members that would bring his songs to a level unparalleled from any band that he was a part of in the past. Sean didn’t have to search too far to find just the right combination to bring his songs to life eventually reaching out to the guys he had known from his childhood days and form August Son!
